KAYLIN , LAVENDER & LATTE

 

Kaylin is an adventurous spirit who has traveled to more countries than she has visited states in America. Currently living in the sunny paradise of Orlando, FL, she enjoys the year-round vacation feel—hurricane season aside. Her home reflects her unique style, blending mid-century modern decor with a maximalist office space that fuels her creativity.

Lavender and Latte are Kaylin's beloved French Bulldogs, each with their own distinctive personalities. Lavender and Latte, almost three years old, joined Kaylin's life when they were just 10 weeks old. Lavender is the more relaxed and independent one. She loves her sister, but when Latte isn't around, Lavender is all about cuddling with Kaylin, enjoying the extra attention. Latte, in contrast, is a bundle of energy, always bouncing from one thing to another. She's constantly checking on her sister, earning the nickname "FOMO." Whenever something is happening or someone is getting attention, Latte has to be involved.

  

Kaylin has many funny stories about them that make her smile. One of her favorite memories is of Latte bursting through a screen door like the Kool-Aid Man—a moment too funny to be angry about. Another story, funny now but not very funny then, involves the puppies, poop, and a Roomba. It wasn’t amusing at the time but certainly is now. RIP Roomba.

Kaylin loves to keep Lavender and Latte stylish with their own color schemes. Lavender tends to stick with purple colors for harnesses and outfits, while Latte is usually dressed in pink or a light beige/tan. She loves keeping their aesthetic sort of neutral and minimalist to match the vibe of the house, but all their crazy fun toys end up in the office (until they take them from their toy basket and scatter them across the house, of course).

Kaylin's career has been a rollercoaster of experiences. With a major in film and video, she has navigated through various roles, from quitting her job as a news producer to traveling Asia in a failed attempt to create a travel show, working at a call center, driving for Uber, and finally co-owning a video production company in Orlando called Islander Studios. At Islander Studios, Kaylin channels her creative energy into producing high-quality video content, leveraging her extensive experience in video production. Her role allows her to combine her passion for storytelling with her technical expertise, producing compelling visual narratives for a diverse clientele.

Before Lavender and Latte, Kaylin had a Frenchie named Hans Gruber, named after Alan Rickman's character in Die Hard. Hans was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor and given only days to live. Determined to make his final days special, Kaylin started a "Hans Bucket List" series, doing new activities every day to give him the best experiences possible. Defying the odds, Hans lived for 52 days after the prognosis, each day filled with love and joy. This period profoundly impacted Kaylin, teaching her the importance of cherishing every moment and preparing her for the joys and challenges of raising Lavender and Latte.

Kaylin's family is equally pet-friendly. Her parents have a rescue pup named Wally (affectionately known as Uncle Wally to Lavender and Latte), and one of her brothers and sister-in-law have a Shiba Inu named Doug.

Lavender and Latte's schedule shapes Kaylin's daily routine, ensuring they eat and walk at the same times every day. Evening TV time is a cherished ritual where they cuddle on the couch and watch movies, shows, or TikToks. The duo loves both running and sunbathing, and their unpredictable preferences keep Kaylin on her toes.

Kaylin loves taking Lavender and Latte on trips, letting them explore new places and enriching their lives with fresh experiences. Whether it’s running through parks or sunbathing in the backyard, Lavender and Latte bring endless joy and laughter to Kaylin’s life. Their presence has profoundly changed her world, making every day a new adventure filled with love and cuddles.

 

For Kaylin, the responsibilities of pet ownership are akin to having children who never grow up. It's a commitment that involves daily feeding, walking, and constant care. Understanding this responsibility is crucial for any pet owner, and Kaylin embraces it wholeheartedly, knowing that Lavender and Latte rely on her entirely.

Lavender and Latte have not only changed Kaylin’s life but have also become her world. The bond they share is a beautiful blend of responsibility, joy, and unconditional love. Their adventures together, whether grand or simple, make every moment special and memorable.
